Opiate Painkillers

Opiates are the most addictive prescription drugs. Typically prescribed for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, opiates can cause a euphoric feeling. A certain percentage of people prescribed these pills for pain become attracted to re-creating these feelings. They might numb not only physical pain, but temporarily help them feel less worried or stressed. These are the people most at risk for developing a dependency on opiates.
